Naszyjniki, bransoletki, kolczyki… dopełniają strój i upiększają osobę, która je nosi. Już od starożytności biżuterię nosiły przede wszystkim kobiety, ale modna była także wśród mężczyzn. Była nie tylko do ozdobą, ale także, a może przede wszystkim, wyznacznikiem statusu społecznego swojego właściciela.

Necklaces, bracelets, earrings… they complement the attire and embellish the person wearing them. Since the ancient times, jewellery has been worn mostly by women, but it was also popular among men. It was not only decoration, but also, or perhaps first of all, it served as an indicator of the social status of the owner.
