The Library of the MAK

The book collection of the library was created in the 1950s. Currently, it has approximately 40,000 volumes, including around 25,000 journals and serial publications, as well as around 15,000 non-serial publications. A significant part of the collection includes foreign publications acquired by the Library as part of the publication exchange with 236 institutions from most European countries as well as the United States, Argentina, South Africa, India and Australia. The exchange on a national level is conducted with over 70 institutions.

The collection of the Library is fully catalogued in the form of a traditional paper catalogue available in the Reading Room and in computer catalogues.
